Systems designed to detect and report break-ins and fires have been around for years. Unfortunately, the need is increasing. In the past, alarm systems directly contacted the authorities when triggered. Due to the increased number of alarm systems in use, public agencies are not equipped to handle the workload of alarm responses directly. Furthermore, the increased number of alarm systems in use naturally increases the number of false alarms. Current systems employ the use of monitoring services provided by the alarm company, which serve as first responders to triggered alarms. These services can determine the nature of a triggered alarm and respond appropriately. Since alarm services are very competitive, they often vie for business by offering free, or very low-priced systems and installation in exchange for a lengthy and expensive service contract, much the same as cell phone service providers. While this seems like a great way to protect your home, it does have drawbacks, not the least of which is the service contract commitment. Another drawback may be inadequate coverage of your home. If 'ABC Alarms' only includes two doors and one motion detector in their package and your requirements are significantly different than that, you'll find the cost of your system escalating quickly. ArchiTronics' approach is different. We determine the level of security you would like in your home, make appropriate recommendations, and design a system to meet your requirements. You then have the option to make a one-time investment in the system and not be encumbered with high monthly fees for the next several years. We offer monitoring services through Alarm Central, a local 24/7 UL approved central station, with no contract. We bill for this service quarterly, at a rate about half of what you'll find the contracted services to be. Another option, that many of our new construction clients take advantage of, is to add the cost of the system into their monthly mortgage, virtually negating the up-front investment.
